pirate Re: Sending waypoints/routes over IP

Hi!

Old Thread but still valid if someone is searching for a solution.

Mine is maybe unique as I believe, every solution with different marine devices is some kind of unique.

My steup:

Tacktick Wind, Speed, Compass.... over
MicroTalk Gateway to Seatalkn NG Bus
RS232 GPS to a Yacht Devices NMEA - Seatalk NG Gateway added to the NG Bus.
Autopilot (ST1000+) added over Seatalk to Seatalk NG connector.

From here I have 2 different setups:

1. Raymarine A67 added to the Seatalk NG
2. Using it without the A67

Configuration on Yacht Devices NMEA Gateway: Everything on default except Raymarine Autopilot enabled in Config file.

Configuration in Yacht Devices Wifi Gateway: Autopilot enabled

Open CPN Connected to the Yacht Device Wifi Gateway. Open CPN Settings Wifi Connection "Autopilot or NMEA Repeater on this Port" selected.

Now I send a Route over GPS without!!! adding any port information.

1. Raymarine ST1000+ follows the route and A67 shows the route but the route is not saved and can not be saved on A67.

2. Raymarine ST1000+ follows the Route.

In both cases OpenCPN shows the information and my TackTick Displays shows the Routing information.

For me it works because I have the routes on the OpenCPN anyway and I can waive on the A67.

Hope this helps someone somehow :-)

Happy New Year!!!

Here you can check out the flow details in the device connections.
