Setting up development environment

I try to set up a development environment following the Developer Manual -> Compling on Windows.

Under the header Get prebuilt Windows dependencies, the link seems to be is broken. Clicking on the link direct me to opencpn.org.

Can anyone provide the correct link?

Dave, that's done.

Thanks. I was trying to think if any other Dev links needed changing, but drew a blank.

Re: Setting up development environment

Thank Dave for your quick respons.

I have ran into another problem. When I try to build OpenCPN, I got "The C compiler identification is unknown" and "The CXX compiler identification is unknown" in the x86 Native Tool Command Promt.

When I Googled this message, I found a link to this article. It seems that there are a problem with the "Windows XP support for C++" for Visual Studio 2017.

Have anyone got this problem?
I have tried to uninstall and re-install the "Windows XP support for C++" but it doesn't help.

Re: Setting up development environment

I've no help on the specific error. Never seen myself.

In VS2017 the Win XP support is called by the "cmake -G "Visual Studio 15 2017" -T v141_xp .."

From "https://opencpn.org/wiki/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=opencpn:developer_manual:developer_gui de:compiling_windows"

Code:
cd \Users\myname\Sources git clone https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN
 cd C:\Users\myname\Sources\OpenCPN
mkdir build
cd build
cmake -G "Visual Studio 15 2017" -T v141_xp ..
When done I myself use to continue in VS2017 by opening ../build/OpenCPN.sln
If you have followed the compiling instruction into every detail it use to work wo issues.
