This is an error in the video recording. I just selected specific windows for recording and forgot to select that one. Also ShipDriver modified plugin was there and is not in the video. Sorry for that, I'm still learning!

Spasqual90 if you'd like to write a brief description in a text file attached here, I will add it.
I really appreciate your interest!
I would say that Fenix is integrated with OpenCPN, it means that both systems can send / receive NMEA messages and react in consequence.

Fenix also implements a boat heading Simulation Mode that, jointly with a ShipDriver "modified version" can simulate a boat course based on speed and rudder angle. This is useful to test the autopilot before installation on the boat.

The user interface of Fenix Autopilot is an Android App, not an OpenCPN plugin as Pypilot. Android App communicates to Fenix through Bluetooth.
The phone screen you can see in the videos is not an OpenCPN window but a image of my real mobile phone (just if this was not clear).

Hope this clarifies why there is no github software for an hypotetical "Fenix plugin". However, I have in mind developing a plugin to enable user to access complete autopilot configuration capabilities. The App is mainly focused on autopilot operational use.

This video also shows how to install the App in the mobile.

Regards,
Sergio

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

ShipDriver has been rebuilt using the alternative managed workflow. Now at version 2.6.1.

As always... please report any bugs. Thanks.

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

Hi Mike
Thanks for making ShipDriver available.
It works great on Open CPN 5.2.4 on my windows desktop.
However when I try to install the Open CPN (5.2.4) ShipDriver plugin on Raspberry Py4 I get error message
"Installation Error.

The requested URL returned error 404.
Please check system logs for more info"

ArcPilot ...

A new Beta was made recently, available in the Beta catalog. Please can you try this version first.

When tested I needed to add the library "libjsoncpp-dev". This was done using Synaptic Package Manager.

Let us know how it goes.

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

Hi Mike
I followed all the steps at the link.
First re-installed, then removed, then installed.
Unfortunately still get the same error message.
Thanks again
Andrew

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

When translators have time would appreciate translations from Crowdin.

Major update in progress, which includes AIS and DSC simulated alarms to demonstrate how OpenCPN displays these alarms.

Thanks for your help.

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

Translators ...

There are a couple of changes to the POT file in Crowdin.

All ...

The latest alpha package has AUTO working again. It is necessary to setup a UDP connection to 127.0.0.1 in Options->Connections. The route or waypoint needs to be activated or 'Navigate to here' used.
