SignalK Connection over Internet

Sorry if this has been asked before. I have signalK server running on RasPi on boat. I can access the server and data from home over the internet but I can not seem to get OPENCPN to establish a SignalK connection. It says SignalK server not found. I have put in the correct IP address and port of the SignalK server on the boat.
The strangest thing is that the AIS data (targets) are being received but nothing else.

Any help gratefully received.

How is your raspi on the boat connected to Internet? Directly? How do you connect to the Raspi- ssh?

RaspPi is connected to Cellular router and access using ZeroTier as a VPN
