to

"password": ""

Restart the SignalK Server and when logging in to the SignalK Server web page it will ask you to Enable Security.

This time try to remember your username & password!

security.json would be in /home/signalk/.signalk/ directory.

To edit you would need to be root or signalk user.

I'm having trouble with a similar problem...the password I am *sure* (probably???) I used doesn't seem to work, so clearly need to reset. I've seen all over the instructions to edit the .json file, but I'm accessing Signal K via the web, via my Cerbo, so I'm not sure where I would actually find the .json file. Would be super grateful for any assistance you could provide!!

Would also be super amazing if the web portal were a little more user friendly on re-setting the password, and/or if I was a bit less forgetful of my password!

Try rename this file and see what happens after a SK restart. I suppose you are asked to enter a password at next login.
/home/pi/.signalk/security.json (.signalk is hidden so you have to enable viewing.

btw: This is a forum thread for OpenCPN and not SignalK although both are often used simultaneously.
