SignalK server 1.4.3: can't access page on localhost (RPI Bullseye)

Hi,

I use a Raspberry PI 4, with a ckean install of the latest Raspbian.

I just upgraded from SignalK server 1.4.2 to 1.4.3, and now, I get a blank page (but no error) at
http://localhost:3000

BUT

http://127.0.0.1:3000 and http:[::1]:3000 work as expected.

That's look really weird for me. My system is IP4 + IP6 enabled.

Anybody had the same problem ?
An explanation is welcome, too, I'm really curious to know what's happening here.

I completely reinstalled 1.4.2, but it still didn't work.
Finally I updated again to 1.4.3.
I modified the OpenPlotter/SignalK launcher in the Pi OS menu to use "127.0.0.1" instead of "localhost."

Is your SignalK server started ?

This can be done with: sudo signalk-server-setup (all no's)

Otherwise you can install a new version of the SignalK server with:

sudo npm install -g --unsafe-perm signalk-server

And thereafter the setup instruction to get the server running at start.

Hi Bram,

yes, it is running and working as expected.
The only problem is that "localhost" is not anymore treated as "127.0.0.1".

P.S. I use Chromium, and my /etc/hosts file is OK.

Pierre.

Re: SignalK server 1.4.3: can't access page on localhost (RPI Bullseye)

HI,

I reply to myself :

Just reinstall another Debian Bullseye on a RPI 4x(this time 64 bits, but I don't think this is relevant).
Fresh SignalK install.
Everything works normally, as before.

Pierre.
