Soundings are in feet because you set them to be in feet in the Toolbox on the Display -> Units tab. Really, read that manual.

Re: Sounding size adjustment on Vector Charts

Just another voice who purchased o-charts and cannot change the size of the depth soundings, both the sounding in metres and in points of a metre are the same size and do not scale making the charts cluttered and unusable on wide scale areas.

Re: Sounding size adjustment on Vector Charts

try the 5.1.x beta version.
There is a slider to size soundings following individual preferences.

The beta version isn't compatible with the o chart plugin. Now I have charts I can't use 🤦*♂️ thankfully I only changed my laptop and not the nav computer.

5.1.708 works fine here with a dongle & vector Ochart on a win10 laptop.

Re: Sounding size adjustment on Vector Charts

It still wouldn't work changing the plugin catalog to beta but I upgraded to the 5.2 official release and the o-charts are working again. Only issue is still I have not been able to adjust the size of the sounding text and the enc sounding scale slider doesn't seem to do anything.

Change the slide setting, then press the "Apply" button.

I have the same problem as markdj with OpenCPN 5.2 on Windows 10 with newest oesenc charts. And I didn't know what to do now.

Oh, now I can change the font size. The scaling factor for chart objects changes the font size of the soundings, too. But you have to restart OpenCPN. Only "Apply" doesn't change anything.

But nevertheless it's unusable for me because, the buoys will scale, too. Minimize the font size affects in very, very little chart objects (buoys etc.)

surfjoe...
What version of oesenc plugin are you running?

On OCPN 5.2, the oeSENC managed plugin version 4.2.15 is current.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

I am using plugin version 4.0.10. Can't find any newer version for Windows OpenCPN 5.x. Where do you find a newer version?

Thanks
Joe

Joe...

use the managed plug-in feature from the Options|plug-ins tab.
Gives access to the latest versions.
