The position problem is solved ! Just had to go to the settings in opencpn, choose userinterface and adjust the setting trom dec. to degrees,min,sec.....
Stupid I dis NOT see this before.....:-)

I have a Surface Pro 2 (Win 8), my BU 353 did not work, BUT I purchased the
BU 353-S4 and it worked immediately without any drivers needing to be installed.

I now keep the old puck onboard with the ACER netbook (Win 7) as the "boat computer"
and bring the BU 353-S4 when I have the surface with me.
