u-blox 7 GPS on Rpi 3 with OpenCPN

I'm trying to get a u-blox 7 GPS working with OpenCPN. I'm pretty sure its not an OpenCPN problem, but I figure someone here can point me in the right direction.

Does anyone have some suggestions to help me get going?

According to the GSV sentence, you see exactly 1 satellite. That is obviously not enough to triangulate your position.

thanks - that was the problem - getting closer to the window and I get a fix (and see the green LED on the u-blox).
