Unable to read the bottom grey toolbar

Frustrating that the colors font size are impossible to read, especially the SOG-kts-COG. It takes me at least 5 minutes to adjust from the bright light in the cockpit to read the tiny script below at the chart table. How can I increase the font size? Why not change to a better contrast than black on grey???

What size screen do you have?

There is a stutus bar plug in.

You can also set up a dash with the data you require and set it as large as you like. This is what I do as I don't find the status bar ver useful.

I should also add that you can change the fontface, size and colour in settings

You can go to about size 14 before things start to break and I have my boat computer set to yellow.. recreated in this screenshot. Which also shows the dashboard I mention.
