Vector Charts Don't Display

For some reason Open CPN crashed and wouldn't open. First I just reinstalled. When that didn't work I uninstalled then reinstalled. It started working again except that it now does not show vector charts. The charts are on the harddisk and the correct directories are present in the tools/charts tab. I have twice forced a rebuild and the vector charts appear to load but are not available. Any ideas on what I need to do to get the vector charts to display?

Unfortunately, the log file for when my vector charts wouldn't display is no longer available. I finally solved the problem by uninstalling then going through drive C: as well as the register and deleting everything including directories that said OpenCPN. I then reinstalled and was able to use my vector charts.
