Hi Rasbats, I just compiled and built the package for MacOS X and OCPN 5.x. The link is here. It appears to be working normally.

Could you paste this into your browser and see if it fetches a zip file?

(This is the URL shown in VFParams in the logfile)

This works at my end.

Have found that it can take some time to return the file.

Are you able to download a multichart zip of kap satellite charts by logging on to the VF website, without using the plugin?

Took me a long time to get a zip like this today (Win 8.1).

It took several tries. Would download 22 byte files from ESRI, one 22 byte file from Google (none would unzip of course) then was successful with a 6.4MB file of nine contiguous charts from Google.

When you made the multi kap request using a browser did the download dialog indicate 22kb for the file size or was that the file size you were able to get (which failed to unzip)?

He suspects a server problem.
