Well we have a preliminary beta version thanks to Bdbcat and Ozolli!
It had update data working, and Aus BOM plus fixes for many of the WFIR_ files, we just need to get UKmet and WeatherchartsUK working better.

Incidentally, statusbar has been updated by bdbcat to behave better in android.
v0.7.18.0 can be found in PIM master catalog now.

Well, I forgot to give the updated Europe file to Rick, so you would better wait for a new plugin release to get a lot of new European and World maps.

Perhaps my version is old, I have OpenCPN 5.6.2 and weatherfax 1.9.30.0
This is the error I get, and the two url's do not match

If I can attach a screen grab I will show you

Today I tried to install WeathrFax plugin 1.9.30 for beta catalog on MacOS 12.x Darwin-wx-315 and I couldn't.

this is the error on log file

for the draw plugin 1.8.16.1 there are no installation problems and it seems to work fine with MacOS 12.x Darwin-wx-315

Thank you for your report Antonio, lets try with weatherfax 1.9.32.0 which will be added to the PIM Beta catalog soon.

Notice to all testers. We have two plugins that need testing

- Weatherfax 1.9.32.0 17 OS builds - Improvements made Reports to the spreadsheet or this thread

- Tactics 1.0.30.0 17 OS builds - Just a frontend update for more current OS builds. Report to Spreadsheet or this thread

When Dave accepts them they will be found in the PIM Beta Catalog. You will find instructions to expose that Catalog in the spreadsheet instructions.


For Weatherfax we need the following things tested:


1. Installation - When the plugin is installed, are the weatherfaxInternetRetrieval chart overlays working? Image Wizard should not be necessary. If it is necessary, close OpenCPN and if the OS is Windows10 for example remove the old coordinateSets.xml from C:\ProgramData\opencpn\plugins\weatherfax (the User writable data file) and restart OpenCPN, and the new version should be automatically copied from the Installation directory to the user writable directory.
Other OS are similar but different locations. For some help finding the installation locations see https://opencpn-manuals.github.io/ma...ion-paths.html However you will need to know your user writable locations, how your computer is setup.


2. I suggest that we try to check the weatherfaxinternetretrieval links, but don't overdo it, we don't want to overwhelm the MET servers. Report any that you find that don't seem to be working. Ozolli has done a magnificent job fixing the links world wide and finding new resources.


3. Try using Retrieve > Update Data which downloads the most current weatherfaxinterentretrieval_(region).xml files to your installation data directory.


4. Things not fixed yet - Creating a Kap file, perhaps prompting for overwrite of the user writable version of "coordinateSets.xml" -let us know what you think should be done, we don't know if audio capture works still, we need to update the weatherfaxschedule.xml file, and it would be really nice to automate use and saving of Kap files.

I have tested successfully both plugins on Mac and RaspPi. I have looked randomly at some of the European weather charts from DWD, UKMet, Arpege and WCMF and all were displaying without any issue. ozolli: good job
