I just installed the latest version of watchdog 2.40, following the link given by RGleason. Installation under W10 with O486.

Here is a list of items appearing on the screens but absent from Crowdin:

Hi!

I have a problem with watchdog_pi.
Clicking the icon only puts a ring around the boat.
From what I can remember there should come up a menu.
I am running OCP 4.8.8. and watchdog 2.4

Hello Sean,


I know you are currently not very available. You said it recently in a WeatherRouting post and I ask you to forgive me for offering you more work here with WhatchDog.

When you open the WhatchDog, the window that opens is empty and has no buttons, forcing users to randomly find what needs to be done to use this plugin.
It is necessary to tune, thinking to make a right click to have the contextual menu.

Would it be possible to add a button for easy access?

Then, when the context menu opens, if we click on "New", a small window opens which displays the list of all the alarms that can be implemented with WhatchDog.

But this window is so narrow and so low that reading this list is extremely difficult. Alas, it is not possible to resize this window using the mouse.

This problem should be solved by correcting this little bug.

Finally, if you find some time to make this plugin, which is one of your "numerous children", pleasant, do not forget to re-read my previous post which gives a very long list of items to enter the Crowdin so that the translator can translate them.

I could not build with OCPN 4.99.1408 until I copied the json folder into includes

No problem this end. I git cloned Sean's GitHub and everything worked! Only tested with anchor watch so far.

Thanks for translating. What do you want from me about the non-translated items? If you can translate them and put in crowdin ok.. is the meaning uncertain for some of them?





I will also look into the ui issues you reported. I changed the plugin to simplify it, and so less clicks are needed to do things.

I have just downloaded and installed the latest version of this plugin that I can find (v2.4.0).
I tried to enable it within v 4.99.1408 but I am told it is not compatible.
I would be very grateful if someone could point out the error of my ways.

Upon reflection, my ways have several errors. Perhaps we should narrow it down to just my errors in plugin installations...
