Waypoint limit

I surrender, I've checked the users manual and OpenCpn forum.


I've put in several hundred waypoints for our summer cruise. The early ones (first in ) seem to be represented by brown circles or have disappeared. What have I done wrong? Is there some limit to the number of waypoints that can be recorded. Can I separate them by layers?

Hmmm. I havent come across this one with a few hundred waypoints. The waypoint manager is not very powerful. They are all in one group. You can export them in sets by making the ones you want visible and setting / saving as layers.

Export your waypoints to a GPX file. You can import a GPX file to a layer.

GPX is a text file format.

thanks for the info. I'm using layers for each segment of our ctuise.
