Furthermore, I installed and used it myself, in Windows and Ubuntu with clean installs.

So unless the failure can be established by multiple crashes and multiple logfiles documenting the problem. I am not going to do anything more about it. Sorry.
Based on this and the rest of this thread, I also did a clean install and reinstalled 1.13.16.0 (skipping 1.13.14.0) and the issue is gone.

Re: Weather Routing

Hans,

Weather-routing should be working better, there were some updates to code needed that I did not catch, but Leamas and Dave did when figuring out why it failed in flatpak.

Rick,

I have this installed weather_routing_pi-1.13.1-ov50-win32
Is this the one with latest fixes referred to above ?

I have some additional info.
It is only when you have the weather routing window expanded that there is a problem. If you minimize it there is no freezing.

Hans, I believe there is a version 1.13.16 in the master catalog, which is also here https://cloudsmith.io/~opencpn/repos...3.16.0*tarball

I will be updating the frontend2 shortly with a new version number so that it works in flatpak too.

Re: Weather Routing

Hans, we are working with version 1.13.16.0. That is the most current version. There have been some significant changes since 1.13.1.

If you don't mind, please show some screenshots using 1.13.16.0 showing the situation where it is very slow and where the window is ok and expanded. I assume this is repeatable? Also what OS are you using? If it is reproducible, I will try to reproduce it.

Re: Weather Routing

Weather_routing_pi v1.13.19.0 is in the plugins master catalog gue.

Update to new ODAPI.h from Jon Gough's testplugin_pi.
Tested boundary operations and it passed.
Tried to check why svg icons did not seem to be working.
Checked icons.cpp icons.h and weather_routing_pi.cpp to be sure that PLUGIN_USE_SVG was used everywhere.
Tried to get Flatpak to build but something seems to be preventing it from completing.
Turned on JSON validation in CMakeLists.txt and found no JSON validation messages in tail of opencpn.log
To Do List
  • get flatpak working
  • strip flatpak only of debug sysmbols so it is smaller
  • get android builds going.
  • fix Svg icons so they work. (the svg icon shows, but the svg does not seem to change when the plugin is selected.)
Showing avoidance of boundary test.

Re: Weather Routing

So, does this mean this is released? Confused about the wording that indicates problems, but maybe it means all those previously-reported problems are fixed. I will check Windows and RPi versions to see how it works out.
