Do we really want that anyone can change the pot-files?
Obviously you have not understand what a pot file is.

Re: Weather Routing

NAV, first we need the POT file, uploaded to the Crowdin Source. Then translators translate. Then Hakan adds the PO files (translations) back into the plugin so that it can be compiled with the PO files. Then you will see your results and translations.

It is a multi step process, but the result will be good for internationalization.
Thanks for translating so fast. Now we just wait a little for others.

I don't know where exactly the misunderstanding is, but all above I know. I've done translations using pot-, po- and mo-files for about 5 years now ....

Re: Weather Routing

NAV,
I am sure you have. It is I who know very little. Don't worry about it. I am trying to learn the process and write it up in the Dev section. If you have some suggestions to add, please do or let me know.

Thanks for all your help translating. That part I have no clue about so perhaps you can fill me in?

Re: Weather Routing

I have been doing Weather Routing in OpenCPN 4.0 for a few months now and yesterday did a parallel install of version 4.2 and all the 4.2 plugins from the OpenCPN website download tab. When I tried Weather Routing I open my Grib file and see the wind barbs, load the Polar File, open Weather Routing, set my start & end points, set a new configuration and adjust the parameters just like I do in 4.0. When I click "Compute" I get an error "Grib plugin version not supported" All of the plugins are enabled. What do I do since the Grib plugin came with the OpenCPN 4.2 install? I am running on Windows 8.1

Re: Weather Routing

rgleason,
I have only done downloads in the past from Download OpenCPN | Official OpenCPN Homepage and there it said there was no beta program currently active. Where on the net is folder 4.2.0 PI WIN located.? What is OpenCPN Beta File thingie? Sorry for my ignorance.

Re: Weather Routing

I tried to login at the OpenCPN Beta File Thingie Login URL using the same UID/PWD I use to log into this Forum but it says my UID/PWD is invalid. Is it a different login for cruisersforum.com/forums than the OpenCPN Beta File Thingie Login?

Re: Weather Routing

Thanks. I installed weather_routing_pi-1.82-ov4.2-win32 and the problem went away. Strange that it no longer shows the start and end points prior to compute like it did in OpenCPN 4.0 but the weather route generated
