Weatherrouting plugin Not workin in OpenCPN 4.4.0 (ubuntu 16.04)

Hello,

The situation is difficult. On the page describing the plugin it is highly recommended to use the plugin (stable) as qtVlm is not any more under GPL licence.

Unfortunatly the plugin as not been adapted for the version 4.4.0 and is not working. No access to the preferences in the config. No access to the tools to create a route (the only open windows is the window (empty) of the result.

Does anyone know if there is any chance to have a correction/update of the plugin ?

It will help me to know what to say as I am making a presentation in 3 weeks about the different tools of weeather routing, as it is an essential way to decrease dramaticaly risks of problems when sailing in high seas.

The plugin works for me with OpenCPN 4.4.0 just fine.
I do not have Ubuntu 16.04 anywhere to try to reproduce your issues, but this is the first time anybody reports a problem with it so either you are the only one using it or the problem is specific to your particular system.

I don't know what you mean by "No access to the tools to create a route (the only open windows is the window (empty) of the result." - Don't you have access to the menu, which is where you invoke the functions of the plugin? That the window is "empty" is absolutely normal until you create something by going to the menu and creating some data.


I don't know what you mean by "No access to the preferences in the config" - The "Preferences" button in the plugin list in the toolbox is disabled by design.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
It was the meu on the taskbar that was missing. I close my session and restarted. Everything is fine.
A mystery... but it work fine again.
