Thanks for the report.

Its a mystery.....

Thanks a lot for helping the user get something back.
I'm going to think about some navobj recovery methods which may be more transparent to the user in future.... backups? backup diffs? stacked backup diffs? How deep, etc., etc.....

I think diffs are not very practical - the non-geek user will probably be unable to reconstruct the file manually in case everything else breaks, not to mention the lack of tools on a normal Windows installation.
Even with a fair amount of saved tracks the file will be a couple of megabytes, so I think we could keep a couple (configurable number to support various levels of paranoia) of (compressed to save space) older versions of navobj.xml.
