Which OpenCPN forum?? I am confused.

First off, I have purchased what I feel is the real version of OpenCPN, and paid money for it.

When I asked a question on this forum earlier I was directed to register with a different forum at "https://bigdumboat.com/aocpn/forum/".

I tied that twice with two different email addresses and I always get to the point where it says they will email me with a link to complete the registration process... but no email ever comes!

Also when I go to the main "bigdumboat" site and click on the support forum, it brings me back to this site.?

Also, the member that directed me to the other forum also said that the current version is 1.0.19..... but on the main OpenCPN site its says its 4.8.2 ??

Obviously I am missing something here, please help, thanks

Uh, OpenCPN is, and always has been free. It's in the name. The official forum is here on CF.

Ok, wait, there's also an Android version for which they do charge. And that happens to be at version 1.0.19. So that's what you have, yes? Mystery solved.

Official OpenCPN website is https://opencpn.org/

seapop...

Sometimes, the confirmation emails are lost by spam filters of various kinds, etc.

We have manually authorized your latest UserName at the Android Forum.
There, you will see that 1.0.19 is the latest Android version available from the PlayStore.

Welcome aboard.

Hi seapop,

With an Android device you don't need function keys nor keyboard. Using pop up screens with keyboard display, long presses and other navigation features the program interfaces nicely .. once you get through the simple learning curve.

Please purchase the Dave Register version (now 1.0.19), then join the forum dedicated to supporting the program at https://bigdumboat.com/aocpn/forum/

You get your questions answered and problems solved on the forum.

Good luck, Terry

Dave,
I seem to be having similar problems. Would you please send me the fix as well?

My error message reads:
