XTE Reversed?

OK, this is interesting, I didn't notice for years till I finally put in a pilot. I am using an old version, 3.2.2 on an XP (SP3) PC. Reason I still use the XP system is it has an old version Nobeltec which runs my early version PC Radar. I once tried updating ocpn with a new version and it wouldn't launch so back to the old one. I don't even like the newer Nobeltec, least of all the Time Zero, even if it was affordable and would run the old Si Tex radar unit.

My XTE value is reversed, showing R when the boat is left of track and vice versa. The chart and highway show correctly but the displayed and output value is reversed. Same with all routes including a temporary go to. Naturally, the pilot goes in a circle if Nav mode is selected. A newer version on the notebook pc getting the same pos data is correct.

Any ideas on this? Or why a newer version wouldn't launch? Some newer versions that might work better on XP than others?

Also, I notice that the Nobeltec runs much faster than the ocpn, taking only a fraction of the time to switch charts. Any thoughts why ocpn might be running slower than it should? The pc is a Via EPIA mini ITX 1000 mhz, 2G of memory if my memory is correct.
