anchor locker hose bib

I have a Saba 50 and have a hose bib in the anchor locker on the port side. When I turn the handle it doesn't turn on. Not sure if this is standard or aftermarket. Is there a switch or valve that needs to be pushed or opened?

Recurveman,

There is normally a separate pump that would run a washdown pump. Is there a switch on the panel for “washdown”? There also maybe a thruhull to open if it operates on sea water.

Why yes there is. I turned the switch on and no water. Then I took the next hour or so and disassembled my boat following hose and wires. Found the hose when to a through hole and the wire went to a pump. Through hole was open but no power to the pump. Took the boat apart even more and found a loose wire under the nav station. Tightened up the wire and we are good to go.....except I need to put the boat back together!!!!!

Thanks for telling me about the washdown switch. That wqs the stqrt of the process.
