Casamance models

Ive been looking at Casamance ads and am a little confused. Some say 43, some say 44 , and some say 45! were there different lengths built of this model? The weights are all listed the same. Does ayone here know these boats? how are they?

Re: Casamance models

Hey
I have been looking into the Casamance cats for a while also. Most of the boats on the market have had transom extensions. The boat I measured was 41' 6" from the bow tip to the top of the transom at deck level. The transom extension was 3' 6" long, so, LOA was 46' 0".
This was a 1988 model.
Hope this helps,
Tony

Re: Casamance models

From the FP web site:

1985, reassured in the soundness of its decision, the company extended its production area with the aim of quickly developing its product range. It launched the Casamance 43 : this highly innovative craft was the first of a new generation incorporating the skills learned from the Louisiane. The pivoting centerboards were abandoned in favour of fixed fins better suited to a cruising program. The hull and nacelle gained in volume and allowed more space for the interior.
