Convert fore cabin to head.

Hi all.

We looked at a Mahe this week and really liked it. We're in the UK so not a lot of choice here. Its a three cabin of which there seem to be a few more of. Unfortunately I didn't spend enough time looking at the mouldings in the fore cabin to see how straightforward it would be to convert to a two cab two head which is what we're after. The boat is already fairly custom so I'm not overly worried about resale and don't mind the work. Is the whole head/shower a drop in moulding or does the tray exist under the bunk? Even better, has any one done the same job?

Yes, the Fiberglass mold in the forward port hull is already there for a sink and toilet base.
We have had a few make changes to that forward port berth.

The plumbing would be the hard part. Would need a sink, toilet and tank.
Would have to drill two thru hulls under the sink for drains

We can help with pictures of all the finer detail if need be

Excellent! That's exactly what I needed to know, thank you. I'm thinking there isn't a hose attached to the shower tray, is that correct.

Yes, there is a hose attached to the shower drain and it goes to a Shower Drain Pump under the sink

You can reach the shower drain from under the sink
