FP 2000 till 2014: Connect orginal tank sensor diesel and water to Cerbo

Hi all,
can i connect the original diesel and water tank sensor from the older FP 2000-2014 directly to victron cerbo?
Older means i have a Lavezzi but also Athena, Belize, Bahia as well as series afterwards like Mahe, Lipari....seem to have the same restrictive sensor type as the gauges for both at the navstation are the same.
Can i take the cable from the back of the gauge, lenghten it by 4m and connect it to the cerbo .
Can i leave the gauge connected in parallel?
