fridge up grade

Has any one else had problems with their fridge mine don’t seem to get cold enough the cold plate in the ceiling seems small for the size of the fridge.
It seems to work and freeze up but the fridge is not cold enough has anybody installed a larger one or a large panel like in the freezer. Any help for a hot climate would be appreciated.

Re: fridge up grade

Ours is set between 4-5 with the adjustment from 0-7. Anything higher stuff start freezing.

Assuming you have the Waeco compressor, I would be more inclined to think you lost some freon.

Re: fridge up grade

thanks dot i wish i had your problems.
it has been sigested that i install a evaparator 1000 long x 200 wide to the walls around the middle shelf
the present unit is a water cooled bf 35 compressor and a small isotherm holding plate about 120x180 in size.
is this similar to what you have.
cheers

Both my freezer and refrigerator are air-cooled units.
