Hello, I recently bought a fountaine pajot Belize 2003 model x charter. The traveller car ripped off the track 3 days into a 7 day trip. I am looking at replacing the whole system with a new one, has anyone done this and if so what system did you choose?

Regards Ian

Ianis, I will be following this thread closely since my traveler is showing signs of advanced age: loose on track; hard to move; swivels seized.

Any reason you are not going with replacement in kind (Lewmar?)?

Re: ianis

Hi john, I have to replace traveller with another brand because goiot has gone out of business and probably replace with garhauser brand.

I think the traveller has suffered some scoring so replacing the whole system is a pain but I will know I have done my best to not have the same thing happen again.

I really don't want to replace the track but I can't think of another way around it the guys down the Gold Coast are the garhauser agent and sound very helpful over the phone so with no other lean towards brands I'll go with them. 20 odd feet of track to be bent and delivered to me is not easy either.

Regards Ian
