Helia 44: New 40 Fountaine Pajot coming soon.

Hi all, Just want to get your thoughts on the new 40 Fountaine Pajot coming soon which will be at this years Paris boat show in December.

Also My dealer told me the the FP 44 Helia will have a name change to the Evolution, Which will also look like the New 40 being released this year so 2 very exciting new changes coming ...

The tag "Evolution" is commonly used by FP to indicate an upgrade in a particular model. they did it with the Mahe and I think the Salina.


It is just a designation rather than a new name.

It usually indicates some change. The Mahe got a hard top. My lipari got change in colour scheme, galley changes etc. usually cosmetic rather than a major upgrade

The Lipari FP and Mahe FP have now been discontinued ..

Precisely, expect the Helia to get a small makeover probably taking into account something off the new 38.5 footer !!

I was at the Sydney boat show on Fri where Multihull solutions had a Helia. They said the main changes for forthcoming evolution model would be:
revised davits (raised & with notches to hold a paddle board) - similar to the Saba, a rear seat - similar to the new 40 & Saba and a smaller mast enclosure and revised portholes that would result in approx 30% more glass area in the front.
The changes sound good to me.

Yes. I was there as well. The Helia changes will mean that it will look more like a bigger version of the New 40.
