I vote for Saona. Logic being the 48 to 50 ft range have recently had names starting with S. Salina, Saba. Also 40s are L. Lavezzi, Lipari, Lucia.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

This boat looks great. I know people say that the Helia is the sweet spot for a couple and the Saba is a bit much. I wonder where this will fall.

Strange they are still using such an underpowered solar layout with so much unused space aft of the traveller. I made a solar layout using Solara 110W and 140W panels that makes better use of the space and yields 940W without covering the boat in unsightly panels. Just 1 panel on the bimini and one on the port side.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

It pains me deeply to say that I'd take a Lagoon 52 before this new 47. Always been a FP fan but this just looks to plastic-y for my taste.

Is the plan to eliminate the Saba? I like it better since they removed the rear sun lounge and put real davits on it.

The boat I'm seriously in love with right now though is the Privilege Serie 5. Probably an extra $300k more but that is a sweet design.

25T on the Lagoon 52 to 14T on the FP47. Complete apples to oranges boats. Plus the Lagoons have much higher windage versus their FP counterparts. I can't argue if the looks aren't your taste. Personally, I love the look of the 47.

The Saba 50 has a phenomenal charter layout. Even the owner's version is a 4 berth (I wish the 47 offered a similar owner's hull layout with a small forward berth). I'm guessing it stays in the lineup.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

Under 12 hours until the La grande Motte Multihull Boat Show opens. Is anybody there that can take some pics before the official announcement? FP doesn't say what time the name/pics will be released, just that it's during the show

While I'm sure that the marketing wing will have something to release, this is like waiting for Spring to arrive: it take forever.

Saona.

FP changed the website to reflect the change, but I can't find any additional info yet.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

Vladislav Bezecny posted a great walk-thru video, but didn't lift any hatches and solve the question about where the generator is located.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

The generator maybe installed in one of the engine rooms like on the Lucia 40.

May have a problem with the trampoline going right up to the fiberglass.
If you hook anything with your anchor you will not be able to pole it off, as there is no space to put the pole through the tramp.
