Opinions on the Marquises 56

My wife and I are going to be buying a boat for our long term cruising plans I'm about a year and a half to teo years. I stumbled on this model on YW but know nothing about them! This is the one I saw and its at the upper end of our price range. What can anyone tell me about them? I've always been a mono guy, but the wife hates heeling with a passion. So I'm a total noob on multis.

I'd rather get a Bahia then that Marquises. The design of the center cabin area is really not attractive. The Bahia will be substantially faster also.

IMO, that's a big boat for 2 people.

Ok. Thanks. I've never even considered a multi before, so any and all info is appreciated.

We're planning on starting a family, so we want a bigger boat. I agree, this one is REALLY big, but it just popped up in my search. I've never even been on board a cat, so I know zilch about them.

That particular boat is one of the 53' designed marquises which was stretched to 56, very ugly but substantial boat for the money. The new design 56 started in 1995 and are quite different.
