Re: Owners

Basically we figured we should move on to new pastures having done several cruises on the East Coast of Aus. The decision of buying in Europe rather than sailing over is a "no brainer" in my view.
Next it took us 5 minutes to decided we don't want to have to reshape someone else 2nd hand boat to our preferences, especially as the delta is not that great when tax is taken out of the equation.
Then we were given an choice between a May launch or 2017 so what do you do!

Makes good sense Martin. Thanks for letting us benefit from understanding the new boat decision process. Sometimes it all just comes together and new is the way to go, not necessarily the most expensive considering your personal sailing brief.

Just purchased hull#125. Will be naming her CATBERRY II. She is on hard in Fethiye Turkey, will be sailing Turkey and Greek islands tihis coming summer.
Thank you everyone for a great forum, learned a lot and because of this forum our decision of getting a Mahe was quick.

Congrats on the new boat!
So you are heading west from Turkey? Are you going to take her to the US?

We used over three months just to get from Greece Ionion Sea to Sicily which isn't that far. Sicily really had to many historic sites so we had to stop too often :-)

Re: Owners

Hello Rabbi, we are not planning on taking her across the pond. She will be exploring Turkey and Greece coast and we hope to make it to Italy in the next few years

Re: Owners

Congrats Jonno & Bry, and welcome! We bought our Mahe in 2012 and used so many of the tips found in this forum.

Incidentally, we will be selling ours (hull #138) in a couple of months. She'll be located in Ft Lauderdale by August. PM me for details if anyone is looking.

Re: Owners

Hi Jonno & Bry

I think you are the guys that bought our Reflexion!

We hope you have as much fun with her as we did. She is a great boat and we would not have sold if we were not doing an overseas experience and explore the Med.
Off on the 8th to pick up the new 40!

All the best
Martin & Soni

Re: Owners

G'day Martin,
We certainly are!
Sorry for the slow reply but I was cruising home to Airlie Beach.
We are loving Reflexion so far and are really looking forward to spending heaps of time out cruising. I'm already 6 days up on Bry as I did the trip home solo.

Congrats on the new boat purchase, hope it serves you as well as the old one.

Hopefully we can catch up somewhere down the track one day.

Cheers

Jonno
