I have for sale a surplus to requirement PC. It is a box measuring 65(H) x 258 (D) x 210 (W). About the size of a phone book. After reading some threads about hooking up GPS NMEA to lap tops this is a pretty good buy, it has 2 x serial ports built in, ie, 2 x 9 pin sub D connectors that take NMEA signal straight in, no adapters required. Also, this PC is powered by 12 volts DC, straight off your boats battery supply. It comes with XP Pro loaded and some tide and nav programmes. A 320Gig Hard drive and 1 Gig of RAM. Works great with only one small fan so it is quiet also. All you need to make it into a compete system is a screen and keyboard / mouse. I use wireless keyboard /mouse set and all is good. This PC also has firewire and 4 x USB 2 ports.
