1952 triple planked Kauiri wood schooner designed by charles nicholson,who designed jboats in the 30,s. built in gisborne N.Z. , keel laid in 1946 and final launch in 53..entered in Auckland to tasman races and transpacs, originally cutter rigged..Lead Keel, copper fastened,mostly bronze hardware, built to the finest standards...Converted to schooner rig in 2009, new solid fir masts...4109 perkins diesel with 2.1 paragon gear...we have owned her since 1991 and she has been hauled out every year, minimal maintenance needed on the hull.. no leaks,no rot, and no ribs.. she has full length 2x4 longitudenals, 4 per side instead of ribs..some work on the interior needed as some as been removed to repaint the hull..rigging should be replaced for a long trip.. lots of info on american schooner association, old gaffers of b.c., and classic yacht association of n.z...recent survey only selling due to ill health.. would consider trading half for a 4x4 vehicle worth 15,000 and cash...moored in Honolulu 10 minutes from downtown and five minutes to the haulout dock....beautiful boat and very seakindly...

Just to clarify, we would like 30,000 for Ceceline and would consider trade for something that we could use plus some cash....Ceceline is 60 years old and will last for 60 more...

Ceceline is undergoing repainting of the hull and the galley and head are removed...Lots of info can be found on these sites...

Ceceline is 45loa and 40ft on deck, she is 11.6 beam and 6ft draft,she is rigged as atopsail schooner, that is with two topmasts.. she carries foresail,jib,flying jib, gaff foresail and foretopsail, main gaff and topsail, fisherman and extra sails including storm trysail...stainless rigging and deadeyes...she has tiller steering but has also the option of wheel steering which is a work in progress....no worms, no rot and she is hauled every year for twenty years now , which is the time we have owned her..We are selling her for no other reason than our health issues stop us from working on her like she deserves...

Hello, Ceceline is still for sale but an offer has been made for her, someone from Russia has fallen in love with her and though we are not getting what we would like , we have no choice due to my inability to do the neccesary work on her.. Of course until the money is in the bank she is still available.. It would take the usual haulout and bottom paint, 1000 d0llars, a fitting for the rudder fabricated.150. A new bowsprit to replace the one broken off, a nice piece already priced at one hundred dollars, and shaping.. Rigging tightened up , temporary galley and head installed, bend on the sails , load up supplies, unslip from the mooring, head out the channel, 6-7 weeks to N.Z... I know because I have done it!!I would say maybe a month of prep would be a fair estimate for a good sailor and boat handy person...Anybody that wanted her before Wednesday had better move on her quick!!! I do not know how he will deal with her as apparently getting a visa is not in the works, making it very hard to move her safely to wherever he wants her but in the end it will be out of my hands.. I much rather have had someone from N.Z buy her and take her back home and hopefully safe but it is what it is....
