1976 UPDATED COLUMIBA 9.6M $19,500

General Description:
A wonderfully strong stable fast fun-easy-to sale racer/cruiser. CHERUB has proven herself with multiple wins and season trophies on Tampa Bay and Gulf of Mexico. New 155% Genoa 2014 from Advanced Sails in St. Pete, as well as recent UK Dacron cruising main, along with a spare main and heavy weather 120% rollup genoa. Cherub has also been fitted with a removable inner forestay and hank-on staysail that can be attached quickly and then sailed as a cutter for strong winds, while still maintaining speed and upwind ability. She also has a nice pink on pink asymmetrical cruising spinnaker that we use for light air days. Cherub has proven to be a very strong dry boat at sea. Glassed-in stringers run throughout length of hull stiffening hull and making for a very durable safe boat in all kinds of weather. Cherub is a fun safe strong boat to go fast in, without breaking the bank. All the upgrades are done – new diesel, new sails, propane stove, sail covers with sturdy 1” solid tube Bimini with recent canvas, head is plumbed to current Coast Guard standards. No leaks! She also is equipped with a 1500w True-Sine wave invertor, hard wired to the two golf cart batteries, to power a microwave, off the house batteries. Also equipped with a Dripless Prop seal. All lines lead aft to cockpit, including jiffy reef. Rope clutches for all lines, She comes equipped with 8 winches.

As far as sailing speed and fun: Typically she will do half the apparent wind speed upwind, close hauled to 30% off the wind, all the way to hull speed of 6.5 knots…Downwind we have had her surfing to 9.5 knots downwind, with the stereo going and drinks in the cooler all-ready!
