1978 Seacracker 33

Up for sale or trade.
A 1978 Seacracker sloop. 33 ft (38LOA)Van De Stadt design, blue water sailboat.
All the basics, many extras. This is a no-frills serious ocean capable boat that has already been around the world. She needs cosmetics and maybe a few upgrades (if you so desire. She sails well, had her out 3 weeks ago)
She has the following;
Aries windvane w/extra rudders (including a flip up) (Vane not in the picture)
2 75w sternrail mounted solar panels w/controller.
1 10w solar panel for the start battery.
Custom Harken full traveller mainsheet.
BN-202 compass w/cover.
6 winches, 2 spinnaker, 2 sheet, 2 halyard.
Control lines led aft, via clutches.
All newer Garhauer blocks
Custom Harken genoa traveller system w/blocks.
Newer aluminum toerails.
Mast steps.
2 dorade boxes.
Solar vent.
ABI bronze manual winch w/100 feet of BBB chain in the locker.
Bruce anchor. (and on old fortress that makes a fair lunch hook)
Teak anchor platform w/guide. (room for another guide and anchor)
20 HP Yanmar inboard.
Gauge package.
Gauge package located inside companionway.
Garmin GPS mapchart.
VHF w/remote (mic can be in the cockpit or below, full function)
Stereo casette w/aux input.
10 meter HAM radio w/insulated backstay (radio will be removed if you don't have a HAM license)

Below, as you go thru the companionway
Galley-salon-nav.
Starboard,
Quarterbearth, nav station (w/large desk)
Large custom slide out double bearth
Port:
Galley w/engine driven cooling refrig (not hooked up) Diesel Seaswing stove, brass sink, brass handpump,
large storage.
Setee.

Head
Port.
Blake's "Baby Blake" head. Macerator pump, new thru-hull, large tank (not all hooked up)
Stroage, mirror
Storage starboard

V-berth forward w/storage under centre, tankage port and starboard.

Anchor locker in forepeak.

As the list might show, she's is pretty well equipped. While she sails now (daysailing) she's certainly capable of much, MUCH more w/the right owner.

What does she need?. To daysail/weekend a bit of cleaning and hooking up of nav lights (all there wires just not run properly)
To bluewater sail?
The above + new sails, paint and whatever upgrades YOU would like.

She's a solid boat with a solid reputation
I'm building a cabin and won't be near her anymore. Lying Slidell La.
Value 14K
May trade (part) for a trailerable sailboat, 4WD pickup or Suburban. No junk, this is an older but quite capable vessel
