1981 Oceanic 46 for sale $149,000

This boat, currently in St. Martin, is a great live aboard or blue water cruiser. She is perfect for one couple, two couples or a family. She was just released from the paint yard with a beautiful Awlgrip finish. The newer 3/4 inch teak deck is crowned with a butterfly hatch adding old world charm with the additional benefit of washing the salon below in light. There are two helm stations, one is in the cockpit, the other in the pilothouse. Both are equipped with E80s, autopilot, and a suite of electronic accessories.
The pilothouse is the electronic, electrical and mechanical hub of the boat. There is a nav station to port with an SSB and VHF radio. A seating area with pop-down cocktail table over and in front of magnificent-for-boats storage is on the starboard side.
Stepping aft of the pilothouse, you’ll find an en-suite queen cabin with opening ports and a hatch.
Step down from the pilothouse to the galley, aft head, saloon and v-berth. The galley has Corian counter tops, a Vitrofrigo refrigerator drawer and freezer drawer system, double sinks, and a Force 10 range. The head has Corian counter tops, electric toilet and a separate shower. Teak cabinets and woodwork complement the leather cushions of the salon which has a drop down table for an additional sleeping berth. Forward is a queen size berth with a hatch and two opening ports. The good storage options are highlighted by a hanging locker.
All the cabins have teak and holly soles and the fine woodwork that is expected from a Taiwan made vessel.
For more details please PM and ask for our website or the list of recent upgrades and maintenance.

Sorry for that. The price should have been placed in the title. It is 149,000.
Can anyone tell me how to edit my post to show the price. I have no edit button available on that page.

While you are at it you might want to mention the year built and give a link to the full specs. Beautiful photos by the way.

The price was in the title. Well done.

While this is a factory boat, U might mention the hull, rigging, sails, and any water systems, heater.

Re: 1981 Oceanic 46 for sale $149,000

Thanks for all the advice, but I am unable to edit my listing. It is as it is. She is a cutter rigged sloop. In 2008 her rigging was replaced and in 2012 the chain plates and bow pulpit were replaced. She is air conditioned and that system is reverse cycle. In the saloon is an additional Dickinson propane heater. As I don't want to be kicked off this board, I can't give a link to my website, but if you google the title of this ad, you should be able to find it. Your help has been wonderful. You have always been a good community.

A 46 foot cutter is an awesome boat, and you're priced in that ball park. For sure.

For this forum, you might want to talk about the survey and the surveyor. You really can't get insurance without a reputable, affiliated surveyor.

Any female type surveyors out there?

Re: 1981 Oceanic 46 for sale $149,000

Steve,
Maybe you could start a new business of female surveyors. I bet they would be shipped all around the world for the quality detailed reports that they would generate.
As far as a survey for Corcovado. We had a survey done in 2007 in Marco Island, FL by Gene Sipes. I believe he was the president of the Marine Surveyors Association at the time. We obtained our insurance at that time and have been using the same company since. We were due for a survey this past fall upon our renewal and they gave us the option of applying for a self-survey to see if would be approved by the underwriters. We took photos and sent in a list of the work that we have had done on her along with the receipts. The list was similar to the list on our website. The underwriters approved the self survey and we still insured.
As far as having a survey done for the sale of the boat, we have discussed this and my husband feels that anyone buying a boat would have their own survey done. We would be happy to facilitate this but wouldn't the buyer have more faith in a survey done by someone he/she had hired?
Thanks,
Susan
