Very nice. The previous version was called the Chrysler 30 and featured a fractional rig, approximately 5/6:

Your boat has the same rig parameters, so it should also be a fractional rig, but you talk about masthead in your description. I seem to recall looking at this boat at a boat show back then, and the fractional rig really appealed to me. So which is it? Masthead or fractional?

Disclaimer...I am not an expert in these things. I did double check with somebody that knows a whole heck of a lot more then me and he told me that it is a Masthead.

Look at the forestay, from the bow to the top of the mast. If the stay goes all the way to the top it is a masthead. If it stops a couple of feet more or less down from the top it is a fractional rig.

Re: 1981 TMI 30 $15,000.00

raygun, I think your friend is mistaken. Looking at the exterior pic, it appears that the upper shrouds do not go to the top of the mast, but instead to a lower point, probably where the forestay goes as well. That is a fractional rig. But you can send me the additional pics, I have sent you an email.
