Hello Captkev, I'm that Alaskan "tirekicker" that sent you an e-mail after I read that you don't want lots of e-mails from the Craigslist listing, well this answers my question if you still have it, what about the Whitworth 40'? I know nothing about sailing, just looking for a trawler for liveaboard during the winter in Florida.

I am actually going to talk to my local credit union about a boat loan, both of your vessels are awesome, I wish I could talk in person but since I manage a concrete batching facility I cannot just up and fly down right now because its seasonal and the season is just starting.
If you still have either this july when I have a window to take a week off its most likely I will fly down there, I hope if they sell before then they get a respectable owner.

Hi Silverado,
Sorry we sold the Whitcraft a while back (I need to take that web page down) but we actually decided just today to put our 35' Viking Sportfish up for sale (having second thoughts about the Cal). If you'd be interested in that let me know.

Its lovely, could be that dream boat I was thinking of, I'm undecided as yet about getting a sailboat. When I fly down in July I'll make a note to see if you still want to sell the Cal. What I want is a not too new or too fast of a boat, something thats been cared for and worth restoring or upgrading. The Whitworth was perfect in every way just by the pics, I am just starting to look around and trying to get a feel of what I am getting into.

Hey Captkev -

I emailed you a few days ago. I have to say I am SO happy to see you are having second thoughts about selling the Cal! I can't say much for your two powerboats but getting rid of something like the Cal has got to be like parting with a piece of your soul... She's a beautiful ship and I hope you and she have many years left together in which to create wonderful memories...

I don't mean this as a rude question but what is the lowest you would sell her for as she is just outside my budget.

I sure loved our little Cal 29.
How does the Cal 36 compare in interior space and handling to the Cal 29?
