48 or 50ST genoa winches.

Hi, am upgrading, and moving my not ST Lewmar 43s to secondary duty.

Does anyone have winches in the above sizes lying around?

Cheers,

James

Re: 48 or 50ST genoa winches.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'm really trying to maximise the winch size for my genoa winches.. The max base dia I can fit is around 185mm, hence looking for 48/50ST winches.

Cheers,

James

Re: 48 or 50ST genoa winches.

Just an FYI...

If you have existing mounting base already, you can use 1/4 to 3/8 plate stainless you can drill and countersink the current base circle, and then tap the plate for the larger winches. Grind the extra threads off the underside of the plate with the winch bolted in place, remove the winch, bolt the plate to the mounting base, then bolt the winch back on.
