We screwed up and knocked our chrome plated or stainless steel Cowl vent into the drink.. I need to replace one, but unless it matches I will probably need to buy 2. Let me know if you have 1 or 2 to sell.

Re: 5" Cowl Vent(s), chrome

This is only a 3", but perhaps they can direct you to someone who has a 5"

SAILBOAT DORADE COWL VENT ABI STAINLESS STEEL 3" | eBay

Good luck!

I might have a couple that I'm not using. Have to go out into the boat shed to measure. You are measuring 5" the exterior diameter of the bottom opening or the interior of the bottom opening?
I'll let you know later today.
kind regards,

It's a 5" deck plate... I will measure the deck plate with a caliper in the AM. Thanks!

Ok. The ones I have (a pair) have an external diameter at the base of a little bit more than 4 5/8s" and the internal diameter is 4 3/8". They measure about a foot high and the bell is 9". They are chrome over bronze and not very heavy. Very attractive though.
These do not have threads to screw in.
Will send photos if thata size might work for you.
kind regards,

My suggestion is to have a couple of really stiff drinks, then go ahead and buy two cowl vents that match. Maybe you can sell the orphaned one here on the forum.

Good luck & keep yourself well lubricated.

These things are costly! I am also looking for two of them with a 3" deck plate. I have been drinking for a while and still don't have the nerve to shell out the $400. AA here I come.

I have 2 3" chrome cowl vents in good shape. No deck plates. $150 for both + shipping. Pics if anyone interested.
