I heard on the grapevine that Zodiac was getting out of the liferaft business, and were discounting the remaining stock. Whether this affects future servicing is not known to me, but my strong impression is that the ability to easily inspect and service liferafts is 50% of the battle.

That said, if I was doing a single transatlantic passage, that's a good price.

Zodiac's 2011 recreational line can be seen on line. They are the largest liferaft manufacturer in the UK and servicing on the west coast of Florida is at Solution One Maritime.

Then why were all the Zodiac rafts discounted at the Toronto Boat Show two weeks ago with the salesman saying "Zodiac is getting out of the liferaft business".

Again, I personally don't care, because Zodiac isn't on my list of potential liferaft vendors, and it may be irrelevant to a buyer of your raft if Zodiac pledge to continue servicing their rafts until the last one dissolves.

But it may be of interest to anyone wishes to buy a used Zodiac raft, no?
