For Trade: 8" Celestron Telescope for Quality Sextant ( Los Angeles Area )

I'm the 3rd owner of the 8" Celestron shown below. I think it is 20 years old and it has been very well cared for. It comes with new eye pieces, new filters, a new finder scope, a new adapter for Nikon cameras, the original 110 volt clock drive and a very solid tripod. The clock drive works fine for keeping targets in view but may be too jerky for long time exposures, or I just don't know what I'm doing.



We can't take it aboard but do need a quality sextant and would like to trade for something like an Astra III B, or better, in perfect working order.

Shipping the telescope would probably be a pain so a local trade would be preferred but if you pay for the shipping we'll pack it up and send it with either UPS of FedEx.
