For Sale: Anchor Chain 3/8 G3 200-240' $200

I have a length of 3/8' G3 chain that is about 200'+ long . Not sure, I believe it is about 240' , I measured it and forgot to note it down. However, no less that 200' for sure.

I think $200 is quite reasonable.

Galvanizing is in good condition. Located Ft Lauderdale, Fl.

Is the chain G3 BBB or Proof Coil.

If BBB and not showing visible rust I'm interested. Will you drive it up to Gainesville for me?

I am not sure if it is G3, it is not stamped G3- maybe proof coil?...Will take a look and let you know. I can take a picture in the anchor locker - does not have any rust!

I can also measure the OD and ID of the links....

I purchased several test pieces of Acco chain to try with my Gypsy. The chains are on the boat so cannot confirm but I'm pretty sure the BBB was marked "3B" on the links. The marking was on the side of the links and not terribly obvious. Even on new chain I had to look at a few links to confirm the marking.

These are the specs for BBB from Acco. The critical specs for me would be the Inside Length or Links per foot.

Chain Size - 3/8
Thickness - 0.496"
Inside Length - 1.09"
Inside Width - 0.62"
Outside Length - 1.90"
Outside Width - 1.43"
Links/Foot - 11

5/16" (8.7 mm) and 3/8" (10 mm) Grade 43 and 70 chain shall be embossed at intervals no greater than 1 ft. (0.3 m).
All other Grade 30, 43, 70, 80, and 100 chains shall be embossed at
intervals no greater than 3 ft. (0.9 m).

5/16" (8.4 mm) and larger Grade 30 chain shall be embossed at least with 3, 30 or 300.

Grade 43 chain shall be embossed at least with 4, 43, or 430

Here is a photo of the chain...Coming from a 52' sailboat to be replaced with 3/8"HT chain new (cost about $2ooo).

No embossments but the boat used the chain in the Carribean for a few years, never in a storm though.

Here are some detailed measurements of the chain:

Link length: OD 1 15/16", ID 1 1/8"
Link Width: OD 1/3/8, ID 9/16"

There are about 10 links per foot but it seems more like 10 1/2....
