Anchor chain 5/16 HT 300'

Looking for 300+/- feet anchor chain, 5/16 HT grade 40/43, used in good condition ok. South Florida location preferred. Would also consider splitting a full barrel (550') with someone nearby. Location Sanibel/Ft Myers

Thumbs up Re: Anchor chain 5/16 HT 300'

I may be interested in splitting a barrel. I have a lewmar pro1000 windlass that I am in process of installing. I need to confirm that is the correct chain. Did you get any pricing?

I am in st pete.

I might have what your looking for. Will measure tomorrow, but pretty sure it's over 300'. Campbell 3/8" grade 30 ISO marine proof coil chain self colored.

Re: Anchor chain 5/16 HT 300'

Hi,

A friend of mine has 300 feet of Titan/Canadian Metal Products 3/8 Grade 30 that is four ears old. He is replacing it because it is slightly undersized for his Ocean Alexander 56' trawler (approximately displacement 95,000 lbs). He said he would make you a VERY good deal on the chain. He is located in the Delray Beach area, moving up to North Palm within the next week. If you are interested, I'll be happy to put you in touch (he is not a member of this forum). Thanks!

Re: Anchor chain 5/16 HT 300'

Thanks for the info, but 5/16 HT suits me better due to weight concerns on my smaller boat and the existing windlass gypsy.

If you'd like to come to this coast, I'll split a barrel of Maggi 5/16 ht with you. I haven't checked the price for full barrel, but they were offering 275' at $3 a foot a while ago. I'd hope it would be a bit less than that for full barrel.

Matt
