Re: Beneteau 411 or 400

Just a question. I own a 400 Beneteau, 1995, and my family and I are loving it, we are not ready to sell yet, but I was wondering why you are looking for this specific model and why you want one in need of rerigging?

Re: Beneteau 411 or 400

Hi Rocketman ... This model is cause I kind of like them and have crawled all over them, rerigging is going to be Carbon and Dynex Dux just because I can and wish to use it as a sample for advertising my services locally or wherever I am. Will make a good add for the mast people to show it is somewhat affordable... and if you like the boat you have and want to upgrade .... Well? I am sure there will be one of these out there as they made a few thousand of them between 411, 400, 390 and Moorings 403, 402 etc ... Cheers Paul

I would be interested to learn more about what you do, costs, advantages, and so forth. When you say rerigging, what exactly are you refering to. Sails, chainplates, Mast, everything or what. Are you in Florida, or Belize?

Re: Beneteau 411 or 400

Hi Rocketman, haven't got a complete cost yet .. I will do the work in the US although I live in Belize as I don't want to try and ship a Carbon mast to Belize unless it is installed and the duty would really be prohibitive. The plan is to add forward chain-plates for the forward stays as the existing ones are cabin roof mount, not acceptable. New running rigging and all standing, soft shackles, add a forward furler for light air sail as I don't wish to motor in our light morning air .. dux lifelines ... this all removes almost 200lbs aloft and doesn't rust in the tropics. Dux is a really neat material. Paul
