Hi to all,
first of all a big compliment for this forum! Its well structured and really helpful for multihullers and for future ones !!

I am really sorry to find this forum so late as we prepared our boat for three years.

Maybe you would like to know what else is possible on a catamaran?!
We are sailing around the world and building up prosthetics for amputees without money. They have to pay nothing for it and we are teaching them to walk with it.


We crossed the atlantic last december and built up in total 25 prosthetics but we also find out, that our imagine is to small for the work. We ordered now a Lagoon 450 and will sell our imagine. She is really over full with all extras you can imagine and more!
On our homepage you can see also the installations.
She is now located in Martinique and prepared for the hurricane season.

Here is a small list of the upgrades:


Electrical system, kitchen, safety equipment, SSB, AC, generator, lithium ion battery 360ah, UKW, life raft, electrical oven, all this equipment is one till two years old!
40 hp Yanmar engines regularly serviced and in best condition.
Boat was painted with a unique pearl effect metallic orange color for 40000€!!

A question; why did you choose the Lagoon? Did you consider other brands? It is a bit off topic, but I would appreciate if you would like to share why you choose for this brand.

To find a boat is really a personal thing. First of all you should know which kind of sailor you are. What are your preferences? For what do you need the boat?
In our case we searched for a boat which gives us a great living space on a 41 footer. The second thing was the sailing performance. The Lagoon 410 has is sailing really nice, also in rough weather we never had a discomfort. The trust is really high. And our last point is, that for this money we got really a good quality.
Logoon is one of the biggest catamaran companies. They know how to make a cat

Hi Linda,

the boat was built in 2003 and delivered in 2004.
No, it would not cost another 40 000€. The color itself was really expensive as it is really special.
If you want to have a really nice result you should prepare the surface before painting. This takes a lot of time. As our lack is quite new you would not need to spend so much work.
But the important question is WHY to paint it back in white??? :big grin:

You should really watch the boat live to see how beautiful it looks like!
