Boom Gallows - Bronze

We are in process of refitting our Pearson Invicta and looking to buy someone's used Boom Gallows fittings so we can construct our own Boom Crutch. If someone out there has a pair of bronze gallows we would be interested.

Have you considered buying new? A google search comes up with multiple hits including this one.

Port Townsend Foundry in Washington

Looks like some nice stuff.

OK, I can understand that. Have you checked with marine salvage companies? Locally, we have Don's Salvage. Think of it as a junkyard for boats instead of cars, where you look for the parts you need/want. I've seen folks get anchors, stanchions, winches, etc. at very reasonable prices.

Re: Boom Gallows - Bronze

Excellent suggestion - sent emails to the Mystic, CT and Portland, ME consignment, hope it works, if not, we will probably end up going with your initial thought. Where do old boats go to die (or at least where do their parts go?)

Might drop sailboatwreckingyard.com a line... Lots of parts, reasonable prices

Check Craigs list Boston and the Cape. There was some one selling the end fittings

Might be worth a call to Minney's Yacht Surplus, they are in CA. Looks like they have LOTS of parts.
