I just bought this system for my boat which does not have a generator. I figured I would just add a inverter. Inverter, batteries... this sytem needs a boat with a gen set. Best offer

I have a genset and am interested! Apart from what is shown what needs to be done to activate a contract - or do you have one of those as well? Also, will it run 220V AC or only 110V AC?

The system gets activated after installation. You select your plan on the KVH web site. This is being sold as a new, never registered system.

I've got one of those on my boat and love it. We did the inside passage last year and i had phone and internet pretty much all the time. Very few exceptions.

A bit of advice...

I run mine off of a pure sine wave inverter and it works great. The only challenge is when I fire up the generator the inverter switches over to generator causing the unit to reset. This causes a approx 20 minute outage as the satellite re-aquires.

If you install a amall computer UPS system then you'll eliminate the switching, and downtime.
