The dinghy does not need any tubes replaced, they are fine.

I believe the material is hypalon.

Call the people that made the boat for cost, how would the lister know. It could be as simple as dirt in a valve.

Re: Caribe RIB 10' $600

With inflatable boats, this is how it goes most of the time:

One inflates the boat till the tubes are firm, then with a soapy water solution brushes the mixture around the tubes and look for where the soap bubbles.

Afterwards, it's a matter of applying a patch according to the instructions on the patch kit. If this is too much work, one would have to look for a new dinghy, they leak less.

I am helping out my friend by listing the tender, otherwise I would have fixed it myself already

Cheers

Re: Caribe RIB 10' $600

didn't know you were listing for someone.
the reason i ask is because if it is a seam leak, the dingy is shot, and needs a tube. 1 seam leak spreads, and other seam leaks open. i read such an account on the bums. they glued the seams dozens of times, just to have the next one open up. i want a hard bottom unit, that why i ask how much is a tube, and where is the leak.

Fair enough, I can ask him to find the leak, however:

If you decide to buy it, how will you transport it to NY? Or are you in Fla?
