For Sale: catalina 25 tall rig swing keel for sale

Against the better wishes of the admiral, I have bought another catalina 25. She says I cannot have two. So I'm selling Arwen, my swing keel boat for $4500. We are located near Washington DC.


It's a great family cruiser and club racer. has lots of room below, and has a raise-able pop top for anchoring.pretty fast. I regularly pass other sailboats of a similar size.

four sails : a loose footed standard size main (relatively new), a tall rig main, an 80% jib (hank on), a 150 % genoa (hank on)

spinnaker pole
winches and rope clutches on cabintop. sail controls led to cabin.
sheet winches
boom vang
depth and knotmeter.
bulkhead compass
life jackets
keel winch maintenance done this year
trailer has tongue extension and new hydraulic disk brakes
bottom was painted with vc-17 last year, so this year no sanding. just clean it and put on another coat.

unfortunately my motor was stolen, thus the low price for the boat. The marina manager near me has a new 8hp yamaha electric start that he wants 1800 for ill bet he'll take 1200. anyways longshaft outboards are readily available on ebay for less than 900.

We owned a Catalina 25 w/swing keel. Great boats and trailerable. We sailed her from Key Largo to Bimini and back.
